Since the days of old, Patagonia has been a synonymous with adventures. From Charles Darwin to Butch Cassidy, just a few who have made their mark in a history of fugitives, gold miners, and Indian traders. Patagonia is also home to some of the most diverse landscapes in South America. The 2 major river valleys are home for some 3% of Argentina's population.
Its terrain boasts magnificent mountains, majestic plains, and glacial lakes to name a few. It is mostly formed by a semi desert plateau but dotted with springtime flowers that surprise the senses. An outdoor meca, Patagonia is the dream destination. A glacial trek to the Fitz Roy by foot or horseback, whale and bird watching, fly fishing in its many lakes, incredible mountain biking and skiing, are only some of the many possible excursions in this outdoor paradise.
Patagonia also offers many interesting archeological regions as well. Petryfied forests, Rupestrian paintings, and fossil remains of dinosaurs who roamed the land millions of years ago.
