Argentina can be divided into 4 regions: the north, eastern interior, Western Argentina, The Pampas and Patagonia. The north has a tropical climate due to its closeness to the equator, it can be uncomfortably hot during the summer because of the humidity, but winters are mild and warm. Western Argentina is the driest of the 4 regions with less than 250mm per year. Summers here are hot, but less humidity makes it more comfortable than its neighbor to the north. Pampas has a mixure of everything; warm winters, some rain, but doesn't experience large fluctuations in heat or cold. Lastly, Patagonia with its temperate climate, long winters and cool summers.
