Language Schools Bolivia

Bolivia, mostly untouched by tourism, wears the cultural crown of South America. Tucked between the Andes to the south, north, and west; and by lush jungle to the east, Bolivia has become known as the Tibet of the Americas. At twice the size of France, it's the highest and most isolated point in Latin American. Bolivia feels as if nothing has changed in past 100 years - and this is why people love it!

It's also the most indigenous country on the continent, the women still dress in multi-layered petticoats, and more than 50% of the population practices the traditional values and beliefs. Bolivia is a cultural meca, a mysterious land set in one of the most beautiful valleys you'll ever see. All this make Bolivia an incredible place to live and learn.

Lake Titicaca, if legends are true was birthplace to one of the greatest empires in history. The highest lake in the world, and destination for many religious pilgrims. All paying homage to the Virgin of Copacabana, the lasting symbol of their newly found Catholicism and the ancient beliefs of old.

Potosi at more than 13,000 feet is the highest city in the world. In the 17th century, it was also the richest city in the world. Once filled with silver mines, over 7000 workers harvested this lute for the Spanish and suffered greatly for it. Many remnants of Potosi's past tell the story of its glory - one of the more famous mines provides a history and technical glimpse and a spectacular view of the city.

Bolivia is largely untouched by outside influence or even time. There are still many villages that haven't change much since the Spanish Conquistadors. Because of this, nature too has remained intact. The diversity of plant and animal life is vast and abundant. And with its elevation, Bolivia rainforests have created plant and animal life distinctive from its neighbors. All this fuses together to create a truly exotic and culturally pure experience abroad.
