First week
Below you'll find a sample schedule for programs around the world. Allow for flexibility, things vary according to each cities personal character.
Sunday
Most students arrive by air or train the Sunday before the program starts. Sunday night accommodation is included in the program price. You have the option of finding your own way to the accommodation by public transportation or be met at the airport or railway by a program representative or host family. For those arriving alone be sure to check your online Travel Share account for arrival information. Once you arrive to your accommodation just relax and get settled. Have a friendly chat with your new host family or flat mates.

Monday, day 1
It's the first day of class. Most programs start at 9:00am - it's best to arrive early the first day. The teacher will give a short language evaluation. This will help find your language level and place you with students with similar abilities.

The school director or teacher will introduce the students to each other and begin the first class. After the first class if for any reason it is determined that a student was misplaced adjustments will be made. Your first class begins!

You arrived safely, passed the language test, completed your first class, it's time to relax and enjoy the afternoon free time.
Teachers are always making recommendations on the best places to visit and students make plans to meet up later to go out for the evening. After all what better way to practice than to explore the city.

Tuesday, day 2
Meet at school, classes 9:00 am.
A student quote from the second day in their new host city: "The first day was sensory overload! It was brilliant. After class on the second day I wanted to return to homestay and spend some time to get to know everyone. They gave me such a warm welcome, I decided to help prepare lunch...it was so much fun - a lot of laughing."

Wednesday, day 3
Meet at school, classes 9:00 am.
You are starting to settle into a rhythm with class, homestay, and new friends. Today could be a relaxing day on the beach or a walking tour with classmates. Make plans to practice over dinner and then it's off for drinks in a bar or cafe to practice the language with the locals!

Thursday, day 4
Meet at school, classes 9:00 am.
In the afternoon everyone gathers for a cultural expedition to a local market, gallery, historical point of interest or show. Why not try and spend the entire afternoon speaking the local language. That evening the school has planned a trip to a carnival at one of the more popular places in the city. Later in the evening for those looking for a little more night life, catch a cab over to a club or other hot spot.

Friday, 5 day
Meet at school, class begins 09:00 am.
The first week of school has ended. You have accomplished even more than you expected. Students catch up with family and friends at a local internet cafe. Upload some photo's to Travel Share, do some site-seeing, rest, and it's off for Friday night festivities.

Another popular option is grab a day pack and spend the weekend with classmates in a local city or island.

Saturday, day 6
No class, catch up on your sleep. Call up some classmates, have a laugh about the previous night's activities and plan the day. Start with a large late, take a stroll along the boardwalk, go see a sporting event, or look in the paper for a seasonal festivity.

Students can also participate in organized school excursions. Be ready to meet at the school early, usually around 9:00am and returning before 7:00pm the same day.

Students leaving to start other language programs in different cities, or independent traveling should plan to vacate the accommodation before 12:00pm.
