We recommend that you enroll as early as possible, during certain times of the year programs fill up quickly. Advance enrollment insures a place in one of our programs.
To Enroll:
To enroll you will need to complete an enrollment form. There is a $80 fee added to the program cost and is non-refundable. If you complete your enrollment less than 2 weeks prior to your start date a $35 late fee will be applied. Enrollment can be completed online, or by telephone 1 (888) 640-3960. Payments can be made online or by bank wire transfer. Please contact us for bank wire instructions.

After your enrollment has been confirmed you will receive an invoice with program details to the email account you are using to enroll. One month prior to your start date we will send an activation notice for your Travel Share account. It's here where you will find pre-departure information, Travel Tips and the rest of the Travel Share features. One to two weeks before your start date you will receive accommodation info.
Refunds
The $80 enrollment fee paid to First Step World, LLC is non-refundable. If we are not able to enroll you in your selected program you will be issued a full refund. All other payments made to First Step World, LLC are subject to a 10% cancellation fee when written cancellation is received with more than 1 month from your start date. Notices received with less than 1 month before your start date will incur a 25% penalty (refund consists of tuition/homestay payment minus a 25% penalty and enrollment fee). One week prior to the start date no refund is issued. In the case of personal emergencies, notify First Step World, LLC by email, and upon review of the particular circumstances, we may issue a partial refund. Once you start a program, you are not entitled to a refund. When you combine multiple destinations you are not entitled to a refund once the first program has started.
First Step World, LLC gives student the option of reserving a space with deposit of the $80 enrollment fee. This is a non-refundable deposit. Balance is due 4 weeks prior to program start date.
Cancellation Policy for hotels. Bookings are subject to a USD $50 fee for any cancellation or change. If cancellation occurs within the cancellation policy period of 4 days prior to start date, a charge of one- night's room rate, tax recovery charges and service fees will be assessed. No refunds will be made for no-shows or early checkouts.
Arrival & Departure dates
You should plan to arrive the day before classes begin and depart by noon on your last Saturday. If you are planning to arrive earlier or later it's usually not a problem to pay for a few more nights at your accommodation but you must give prior notice and get approval.

Changes
You can change your program destination one time providing there is space in the alternate destination and your start date is at least 1 month prior to the change date. All additional changes will also incur a $50 change fee.
Multiple destination programs
If you have enrolled in a multiple destination program, you are expected to pay and arrange all travel requirements. Some school offer the arrangement services with payments made directly to the schools.
Holidays
During holidays in your selected country, unless otherwise stated, classes will be cancelled. They can not be made up, and no refund will be issued.
Adjustments to program hours
In certain schools students who have signed up for group classes may be place in individual classes because of language proficiency or other circumstances. In these circumstances the total number of hours may be adjusted, however course material is the same.
Cultural Activities & Organized Activities
Many of the programs will offer several complimentary activities including dance classes, trips to museums, live music venues etc. For these activities there may be minor fees associated with the activities. These extra fees typically cover expenses such as transportation and entrance fees. If a school offers weekend trips and extra excursions students are expected to pay the full cost of these trips.
Course materials
Unless otherwise indicated, the cost of study materials i.e. books are included in your program costs. You should also note that some schools will lend books and various study materials. In these cases the schools will ask for a deposit that will be refunded once the material is returned at the end of the program.
Class hours
Classes will vary from 45-60 minutes. Each school's director manages breaks differently.
Discounts
First Step World, LLC offers repeat clients a 10% discount on any standard program we offer. This applies to program costs (tuition and homestay accommodation). It is not applicable to extra excursions, transportation or any other fee outside of these standard program costs. Enrollment fees are not eligible for a discount. Total discount may not exceed $200 per person.
Academic credit
University credit options are listed on our web site as resources to assists those students who would like to apply for academic credit through their own universities. It is the student’s responsibility to discover their universities requirements as well as apply independently to these listed universities or colleges for credit transfer. First Step World, LLC is not responsible in any way for the student’s universities decisions to accept or deny credit transfer or the listed universities or colleges policies for transferring credit.
Behavior expectations
All students participating in any of our programs are expected to be courteous and respectful guests. Under no circumstances will illegal drug use, consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors or abusive behavior by a participant be tolerated. If First Step World, LLC is made aware of such situations, we reserve the right to refuse to serve and/or terminate the program of any person not abiding by these regulations. In addition if First Step World, LLC is notified of a situation where a participant is not complying with the policies of our program providers i.e school, tour operator, program organizer, etc., or for any other reason deemed necessary, First Step World, LLC reserves the right to terminate the program of the participant immediately. It is further noted that First Step World, LLC reserves the right to send home without an escort or any type of refund any person who violates the above mentioned rules. Any expenses incurred as the result of First Step World, LLC terminating a program will be the responsibility of the participant.
Liability
First Step World, LLC is not liable for any risks you may be exposed to during your trip and or while staying at the chosen school. These risks may include, but are not limited to: personal injury, property damage, sickness, accidents, terrorism and war. By submitting the enrollment form, you are assuming all risks and agreeing to indemnify and hold First Step World, LLC and its employees harmless of any and all liability that may arise in First Step World, LLC programs inside and outside of the United States.
